Gulo Gulo

Gulo Gulo is the latin name for wolverine. Of the wolverine it is said, "The wolverine is a tremendous character, a personality of unmeasured force, courage, and achievement so enveloped in a mist of legend. Picture a weasel- and most of us can do that,for we have met the little demon of destruction, that small atom of insensate courage, that symbol of slaughter, sleeplessness, and tireless, incredible activity- picture that scrap of demoniac fury, multiply that mite by some fifty times, and you have the likeness of a wolverine." My breeding goals are to produce high-drive working quality dogs with strong nerve, pronounced courage, extreme confidence, and stability. Gulo Gulo dogs are extremely loyal and loving to their family or handler. Gulo Tervuren are a lifestyle and not just a pet, and require a handler who is willing to commit to training, drive fulfillment, and daily exercise both mental and physical. Serious dogs, these are not dogs for the casual pet owner, or for someone simply looking for a high-energy trainable dog. The strong protective instincts and intense drives in dogs out of Gulo Gulo kennel need to be understood and worked with, not against. While my dogs are fully capable of excelling in many dog sports, including agility, SAR, nosework, dock diving and sled dog sports, Gulo Gulo dogs are especially suited for ringsports, IPO, PSA, personal protection, and police K9.
